Tonke Raaijmakers - Phd Candidate

Tonke Raaijmakers graduated in Biomedical Sciences, majoring in Human Pathobiology combined with the Infectious Diseases track, at the Radboud University Nijmegen in 2015.

Tonke's research is focused on if and how anesthetics and painkillers influence the immune system, and how this interaction affects (combination) anti-cancer therapies. Her PhD project is executed at the Radiotherapy & OncoImmunology Laboratory (ROI) and is a collaboration between the department of Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine and Palliative Care and the department of Radiation Oncology.
